Roger today passed the 102 consecutive weeks that Sampras spent at No. 1 to be third on the all-time list! With his 103 weeks he is now behind behind Connors (160 weeks) and Lendl (157 weeks). Pete Sampras did spend a total of 286 weeks at no.1, so Roger has still got a long way to go there! Roger has taken home 23 titles in 33 tournaments since the beginning of 2004.

Should Roger really capture the title Down Under it would be his third Major Title in series! The last to have achieved that was - take a guess - Pete Sampras in 1993/1994. With the 7 Majors Roger would then have reached half the amount of Sampras' mark.
