Semis at home
Roger has moved another step towards defending his home-title with a routine 6-3 6-2 win over Germany's Nicolas Kiefer to reach the semi-finals.
"It wasn't easy today," Roger insisted after winning the final game to love. "My serve wasn't helping me out much with only the one ace near the end. But I was playing pretty solidly from the baseline and I hope I can continue that way for the rest of the week."
The result is very clear, even clearer than a week ago in Madrid, where Roger had won 6-4, 6-4 against Kiefer (ATP 64) in the semis. But the German certainly had his chances during the match, especially in the beginning. But Roger replied in his usual fashion, regaining his advantage on Kiefer's service game and displaying attractive tennis and even the odd little gag her and there.

Best of luck for the rest of the tourney.
