Miami: web review
Federer Challenged, but Coolly Responds (NY Times)
Roger Federer got his racket on a Ivan Ljubicic serve Sunday afternoon and hit a low, angled backhand return that struck the top of the net and landed softly on the other side, beyond Ljubicic's reach. After three tie breakers and nearly three hours, the men's Nasdaq-100 Open final was over, though it could be argued that the outcome was never really in doubt.

Roger Federer's best surface may be U.S. soil. With comebacks in three consecutive tiebreakers Sunday, Federer remained unbeaten in the United States since August 2004, beating Ivan Ljubicic 7-6 (5), 7-6 (4), 7-6 (6) to win the Nasdaq-100 Open.
Fed delighted by Miami triumph (Sportinglife.com)
Roger Federer was ecstatic after claiming back-to-back ATP Masters Series titles at Indian Wells and Miami. Federer won a hat-trick of tie-breaks to defeat Ivan Ljubicic in straight sets in Sunday's Nasdaq-100 Open final. World number six Ljubicic battled hard to take his opponent to the brink in each set, but Swiss superstar Federer proved too strong at every opportunity.
Another week, another title (Cape Argus)
"It was tough today, he made me work very hard," said Federer, who will soon turn his mind to clay and a run at the French Open. "He could have pushed me further if he'd played better on big points in the tiebreaks," added the Swiss. "But he was going for big serves with great variation. He made me work but I expected that - three tiebreaks is the most extreme you can have."

"I never panic," Federer said. "I think that's the key in the end. You've got to believe in your game."
