Roger reaches final in Halle

Roger notched up his 29th straight win in Halle today as he beat Germany's Philipp Petzschner 7-6(3) 6-4. He will now take on Lleyton Hewitt in Sunday's final.

 

It was the first meeting between Roger and Petzschner on the ATP-Tour. The first set was a tough fight on both sides. Roger conceded two breaks in the opening set, but managed to score two breaks himself, eventually prevailing in the tie-break. Roger then secured the only break in the second set and served out the match to end Petzschner's resistance. 

Roger will now meet Australia’s Lleyton Hewitt (ATP 31) in the final of the Gerry Weber Open in Halle.

can you cout the number of times Fed has lost this way in the last couple years...?? playing a great 1st set, loosing a tight 2nd one, and than blowing it on the 3rd. it seems nowadays it becomes harder and harder for Ro

i saw the third set.hewitt was showing no mercy at his serve very strong.he really played well.give him credit.rog wasn t really bad has fought for every point.i wish him all the best for wimby.i still think he can win it.inchaalh

Just got up to see Hewitt win the match Roger, so sorry for your bad luck but don't worry you will go on to win Wimbledon!!!!Chin Up!!!!

what a shame, this was a disastrous play from roger today. that 0-40 break chances missed in the second set played the trick against him. it's sad to see him not able to play above average anymore...

just saw on Eurosport that he lost to Hewitt. I am sure that hewitt is thrilled as Roger beat him so so many times in the past. Well Roger needs to see what to do to improve his game. I don't hope for Wimbledon my friends. However Nadal and Murray and

Oh my God....Rogers game make me cry :( This is dissapointing :( Roger,i bealieved in you,but your game is very bad.Clay or grass,you made much more errors. :-( Roger please,please,Wake up! :-(

It was so close!
Impressive fight back from Roger though...
Very unlucky net cord on match point!!
I really believed he could've won this match =(
