Roger gets No. 1 seeding for Wimbledon

Roger has been seeded No. 1 for Wimbledon, ahead of Rafael Nadal. Our six-time Wimbledon champion received the top seeding even though Rafael Nadal recently replaced him as No. 1 in the ATP world rankings. Wimbledon is the only Grand Slam which does not strictly follow the ATP world rankings when deciding the seedlings, taking into account performances in grass court tournaments before making their decision.

 

Roger has the chance to win Wimbledon for the seventh time and can therefore draw level with record holders William Renshaw (winner: 1881-1886, 1889) and Pete Sampras (winner: 1993-1995, 1997-2000), each with seven victories in Wimbledon. This would be his 17th Grand Slam victory.

 

The draw will take place on Friday.

SODERLING VS Nadal in wimbledon Quaterfinals.. I am very sure now Nadal will not even make it to the semis... :-) Wimbledon court became fast last year... and Soderling had taken nadal to 5 sets in Wimbledon 2007...I AM VERY SURE SODERLING WILL BEAT NADAL

I think only Murray.. Soderling.. Berdych.. and Roddick have tje capability to knowck Nadal off before finals... other than of course someone else produces the match of their lives to beat nadal... i dnt care as long as Nadal doesn't reach final...

Wimbledon Draw has just been announced. Murray, Querry, Baghdatis, Gulbis, Verdasco, Youzhny and Soderling are in Nadal's half, I think.

The draw should be posted soon on the Wimby website.

Does anyone know when Wimbledon Draw will be announced… I can’t wait to see… Andy roddick.. Andy Murray and soderling in Nadal’s half..THAT WOULD BE PERFECT..

Of course.. Fedex can take out Djokobitch and daveydenko on grass anytime..
