Roger and four-time champion Andre Agassi have advanced to an Australian Open quarter-final showdown in Melbourne today.
Roger stretched his unbeaten streak to 25 matches with a straight sets defeat of Cypriot qualifier Marcos Baghdatis, winning an entertaining game 6:2, 6:2, 7:6 (7:4) in the Rod Laver Arena. Roger’s victory helped set up a mouth-watering quarter-final for Tuesday with eighth seed and four-time former champion Andre Agassi, who came from a set down to beat Swedish 11th seed Joachim Johansson in a fierce contest.
