Roger is playing in a league of his own at the Davis Cup in Romania after light difficulties at the beginning. Gradually rising the level he beat Hanescu 7:6, 6:3, 6:1 with a great performance and thereby levelled the score to 1:1. This, after Michel Kratochvil did not get rewarded for a strong and enduring performance and had to take a defeat after three hours of play against Romania's number one, Andrei Pavel, 4:6, 3:6, 7:5, 4:6.
