Rain disrupts Roger lead
26.06.2006 | Tennis
The 2006 Wimbledon Championships began with rain. Two interruptions because of showers meant only a half hour of tennis on the tournament's first day, with no matches completed, 17 suspended and 47 postponed.
Roger began his campaign for a fourth title in sparkling form against Richard Gasquet on Centre Court, firing an ace on the opening point. He then broke the French teenager at the first opportunity and played some sublime tennis on his way to a 6-3 1-2 lead. But the rain came after 35 minutes and the players will now return on Tuesday.

If you will play and further, it will not be simple equal (though you and now outside of a competition)
