Roger marches into quarters

31.10.2014 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger moved into the quarter-finals of Paris-Bercy in 74 minutes today, defeating French qualifier Lucas Pouille 6-4, 6-4.

Both players were very strong on serve, but it was Roger who broke serve in both sets, each time to take a 4-3 lead. Our champ did not have to fight off any break-points during the entire match.

On his way to a second title in Paris-Bercy after 2011, Roger will next meet number seven seed, Milos Raonic, against whom he has won all six encouters on the Tour.

OK, I'll share the praying. And thanks for the clearing out the chances of Raonic & co. Last I saw to the live-score it was Ferrer on march. Kei might not be fit. By the way, here is some blog I like:http://www.perfect-tennis.co.uk/raonic-defeats-federer-bnp-paribas-masters/
Jonathan and other Federer fans commenting in a balanced way, I think

I think it is a case that if Ferrer goes further at Paris than Raonic, then it is Ferrer and Nishikori which goes through to London rather than Raonic. We may still be ok. I think a fit Nishikori can take Djoko, but is he fit?

The more I think of it, it is better this way.

Let them fight it out and get more tired.
Meanwhile it is your turn to rest longer.

You can do it. I believe.

Thank you SATISHAMBITION. He is so close. So if Djoko loses in the semis Roger is still able to pick up no.1. With a rest he should be in a better position to achieve it. He just needs a better run than Djoko in London and the win the DC.
Roger, take heart, all is not lost. You will do it.
