Roger Federer to be JURA’s new Ambassador

Niederbuchsiten, 12 July 2006 – JURA, the Swiss innovation leader in fully automatic household coffee machines and Roger Federer, the world’s #1 ranked tennis player and reigning Wimbledon, US Open and Australian Open Champion, have entered into a partnership. The Swiss eight-time Grand Slam Winner will represent JURA as an Ambassador both in Switzerland and internationally and spread the message of their common values across the world: performance, precision, prestige and passion for excellence.

JURA General Manager, Emanuel Probst, said: “Roger Federer stands for the same qualities as JURA. We share authentic Swissness and we look forward to a long-term partnership. Starting in the Fall of 2006, Federer will be featured in the new JURA image campaign. In addition,

he will personally attend the JURAworld of Coffee event at the company Headquarters in Niederbuchsiten/Solothurn on the occasion of its VIP opening at the end of September.

About Roger Federer

Born August 8, 1981, in Basel, Switzerland, Roger turned pro in 1998 and has set numerous records and established new standards for his sport ever since. The international superstar is not only celebrated for his victories, but also for his style and grace on and off the tennis court. Just last Sunday, he won his fourth consecutive Wimbledon title, his eighth Grand Slam title. Last year, he became the first man in almost 70 years to win both Wimbledon and the US Open in consecutive years equalling Don Budge in 1937-1938.
