Final in Basel!

Roger only needed 70 minutes to defeat Andy Roddick in Basel tonight, making a clear statement with a 6-2, 6-4 victory.


It was the first time after their memorable encounter in the Wimbledon final 2009 that Roger and Andy played each other today. Roger took a super quick lead, breaking Roddick when he first had the chance. He served 13 aces and was clearly the better player at the Swiss Indoors this time.

As Roger faces Novak Djokovic in Sunday's final, he has the opportunity to take revenge for the defeat against the Serb in last year's final, where Roger was deprived of a fourth title in his home town.

Wasn't able to see yesterdays match against Andy but so glad the result was the right one. A repeat performance against Nole today will do the trick I'm sure. All the best for today and take it to him Rog. GO ROGER!!!

Excellent performance yesterday match..
13 inflamed aces with legendary backhand shots sealed by aggressive forehand strokes...It was a wonderful show !!!...Rod was just like shocked !!!
Best wishes for today final vs Djoko...Hope you will bring back title home!!

also, jodoug, our idol RF's the ultimate ambassador of this gentlemen's sport 'cuz he can communicate in English, worldwide, and that's a TRUE TREAT for us fans here in USA...(we cannot understand that stompin' gorilla's Spanglish, and would've more respect for him if he relies on interpreter instead, like seriously~!)
