Roger defeated in semis

13.11.2010 | Tennis, Starseite 2

Roger will still have to wait to play his first Paris Masters final. He had to accept a 6-7(7), 7-6(1), 6-7(4) defeat against France's Gaël Monfils in the semi-final in Paris today.

Our champ fought out an enthralling contest with Monfils. The match was as tight as can be, requiring three tie-breaks to settle matters. Both players showed great tennis and made no presents. It was until the end of the second set when, needing to level things to stay in the match, Roger raised his game to snatch the tie-break and take the match into a third set. Roger then raced to a 4-1 lead in the deciding set and looked to be on course for a spot in the final. But his French opponent fought hard, battling his way back into the contest and finally even win the match in the last tie-break. Roger unfortunately could not make use of his 5 break-points.

Congratulations for an excellent tournament!
You did great Roger, you displayed some beautiful tennis and a great endurance, the last one was a good fight, your game is really solid and even more considering you have a whole season on, so you are in awesome shape for London, I’m really excited about it.
And you are so kind and diplomatic, the final wasn’t that great.
You looked super handsome throughout the tournament.
Take care, rest and relax.
Best regards.
I love you so much…

ALOHA EVERYONE!

sussy**(p.3 as I type this piece) thanks. Your comment about the guy richmond is written in such profound decency but with a lot of strong disapproval. If only people could also be "ballistic" but still maintain refined character like what you've displayed, I guess it will be a welcome act. All my respect!

Regarding pushing the report button on the left side, I'm not sure if the webteam means business in its "busting" job. Let's expect a little spanking in the future.

Vho

DEAR CHAMP!!!
I wish you will be ROGER FEDERER in London!!!
There is no problem with any draw if you play as only you can do it.
I think most tournaments you lose this year didn´t have a winner: it happened because of you, you lose them. So, fight hard, be focus, confortable, enjoy yourself....please Rog!!! We´ll be fighting with you and for you.....but help us!!!
Anyway, we´ll always love and admire you...forever!!!!

Does anyone know who the LUCKY person was that won the Tennis Channel contest and is going to Zurich this week to meet Roger? I would imagine they're a member of the site? CONGRATS to whoever you are and have a GREAT TIME!! Hope to hear all about it!

You play good tennis, but its hard to meet someone some play in his home country.
Good luck in the ATP finals and I hope you could lift the trophy in London.
