Roger defeated in semis

Roger will still have to wait to play his first Paris Masters final. He had to accept a 6-7(7), 7-6(1), 6-7(4) defeat against France's Gaël Monfils in the semi-final in Paris today.

Our champ fought out an enthralling contest with Monfils. The match was as tight as can be, requiring three tie-breaks to settle matters. Both players showed great tennis and made no presents. It was until the end of the second set when, needing to level things to stay in the match, Roger raised his game to snatch the tie-break and take the match into a third set. Roger then raced to a 4-1 lead in the deciding set and looked to be on course for a spot in the final. But his French opponent fought hard, battling his way back into the contest and finally even win the match in the last tie-break. Roger unfortunately could not make use of his 5 break-points.

methinks that Roger's Paris pts of last year and/or another tourney somewhere got dropped off, and that's why the grand total is soOoO darn low...

anyhoo, no matter 'cuz Roger can gain 1,300 pts from being the ultimate winne at London...

shd be 8055 ? I dont know how are their calculations. Anyway let's
hope Roger wins in London so he could earn 1300 pts.

That is a close match, you should have won, I have to accept that you are defeated, maybe you took him too easy, you are such a great player, everybody in the tour wants to defeat you. You know what to do, I am looking forward the London final, good luck.

That was tough luck, you were playing well enough to win this event. I think you will get more chances, the surface is fast now and you should get close again.

I loved your serve all week and the forehand seemed to be on song all the way up till the semi. Please look into this issue Rog. The fh is key to your success. Its your ace card, so please work hard at making sure it doesn't break down in final sets.

Something must have dropped off in Roger's total pts. (he only earned 360 pts at Paris for making SF), and that's why it did NOT seem like much~!!

London surface, HOWEVER SLOWER, does NOT suit Anal, i.e. esp. last year, he did NOT manage to go far at all, like 0-3 in ALL his matches...that's why he's itchin' TO PROVE HIMSELF THIS YEAR, esp. since BOTH DelPo & Davydenko are absent~!

However, there are BERDYCH & R-SOD, amongst ROGER, who's a 4-time titlist, seekin' his 5th, soOoOo, THIS LONDON TOURNEY DOES NOT FAVOR ANAL, BUT OUR CHAMP~!!!
