Roger defeated in semis
Roger will still have to wait to play his first Paris Masters final. He had to accept a 6-7(7), 7-6(1), 6-7(4) defeat against France's Gaël Monfils in the semi-final in Paris today.
Our champ fought out an enthralling contest with Monfils. The match was as tight as can be, requiring three tie-breaks to settle matters. Both players showed great tennis and made no presents. It was until the end of the second set when, needing to level things to stay in the match, Roger raised his game to snatch the tie-break and take the match into a third set. Roger then raced to a 4-1 lead in the deciding set and looked to be on course for a spot in the final. But his French opponent fought hard, battling his way back into the contest and finally even win the match in the last tie-break. Roger unfortunately could not make use of his 5 break-points.

Roger knew, we knew, that winning all and sundry would not last forever.
As long as Roger is healthy, happy and fulfils whatever dreams that he has for continuing with playing his wonderful tennis is fine by me. He has moved on with marriage, children etc which I think is wonderful.
Naturally, I am always very happy to watch Roger play--great if he wins--if he loses he has done his very best, I cannot and will not ask for more.

Thank you for the link--I cannot speak German but one of my staff does--no second guessing what their first job will be in the am!!!

May be so, but there are also many of us who were fans of Roger long before he became no 1 and began to win most matches--fortunately, myself and family are among them.It is/was an advantage as we learnt so much about him as a person and his tennis during his journey from teenager to now.
looking forward i believe your self always
fighting fighting na
i love you so much

he has one remarkable win this year at the aussie open final.
and i simply cannot see him winning more majors.
but u played well
Good luck in London - would be nice to see you lift the trophy!
i am sure you'll make a deep run at london if you keep it up.
it is unfortunate that you lost in paris but (as you said yourself many times) tennis can go that way. Even as a big Roger fan i have to admit that monfils did deserve it as well to win, fighting back and displying tremendous tennis at the end himself.
