19.11.2010 | Tennis, Starseite 3

The eight players fighting for the crown of the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals met British Prime Minister David Cameron on Thursday. "It's fantastic that the ATP World Tour Finals tournament is back in London for the second year running. It's great for London and great for the country."

Roger, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Robin Soderling, Andy Murray, Tomas Berdych, David Ferrer and Andy Roddick met Cameron at 10 Downing Street for a group photo and then went on to a private reception.

angellT,

"...Who in the world voted for him? I won't criticize, but will wonder what was going on in their heads..."

Probably some negativity on Roger due to below mentioned reasons. But I hope they realize soon what they've done...

I admire Rafa's tennis skills and some of his traits are very positive. But I see him as very unsporting towards his peers on many occasions.

Maybe you who voted for him should like AM says, let him take as long as he wishes to serve. Let him get a little more coaching thrown in with it as well.

Mind Boggling!

Nadal winning the best sportsmanship award when Pete Sampras never did? Something's rotten in the state of tennis. Am I hearing it right? His fellow peers who he doesn't interact with very much in the locker room because he's always training, takes too much time to serve (finew/AM) , intimidating mannerisms, and rumors of more serious infractions - wins the SE sportsmanship award. Who in the world voted for him? I won't criticize, but will wonder what was going on in their heads.

Lucky Prime Minister!
You are so handsome!
Best wishes, go for it!
I love you…
Isabel. :)

Was wondering where you've been RF-4EVER-GOAT. I thought you'd have much more to say about the sportsmanship award. You should check out the forum (rant 14). Some great posts there. I personally think giving the SE Award to someone who admits cheating is a slap in the face of the great RF. I hope he never wins it again because it has lost all meaning.

quite IRONIC that MR. CHEAT is gettin' that SILLY STEFAN EDBERG AWARD, doncha think?

these young'uns are QUITE 4GIVING when the CHEATING is DONE AGAINST them, like whasssup w/ that?

2 doggone bad that newer-younger players are condoning the cheating practice as NORMAL PRACTICE, since it goes on UNNOTICED~!

Chances are that neither he nor anyone else will win the award 6 yrs. straight anyway...YOUNGER CROWD W/ SUSPECT MORAL & QUESTIONABLE ETHICS WILL ULTIMATELY GET THEIR DUE~!

Seriously, what's soOoOo doggone special about that Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award anyway? Roger's done 4 6 yrs. straight & 'tis time 2 move on...The Fan's fav is ALL THE MORE IMPORTANT since THIS PROVES THAT ROGER INDEED HAS MORE FANS-BASE WORLDWIDE & my point that he's the people's champ of ALL TIME~!

Now, let's STOP gift-giving & play AGGRESSIVELY, Roger~! NO MORE PLAYING MR. NICE GUY ON THE COURT BY WASTING THOSE BREAKPTS...

Marciaf said it best:

"This 2010 vote discredits the award"

My thoughts exactly...
