Roger easily defeats Murray

23.11.2010 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger once again proved he has Andy Murray's number when it comes to the big matches with a crushing 6-4 6-2 victory over the Scotsman at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals today.

Bidding for a record-equalling fifth title at the year-ending showpiece, Roger cruised to victory this afternoon in a packed O2 Arena with a minimum of fuss. Murray already had to save break points in the opening game but made it though. Roger kept digging and already broke to love on the Scot's second service game. Roger held the important lead and finally closed the first set after 36 minutes. The second set was even more a display of Roger's great form as he raced to a 4-0 lead. After some more spectacular points Roger enjoyed a deserved standing ovation from the London crowd.

Should Ferrer win at least one set against Söderling this evening, Roger has already booked his spot in the semi-finals.

Good Luck, Roger against Robin -- he is always a tough competitor but you are playing brillantly and wisely. I wish you all the best and I look forward to seeing you in the sfinals. I noticed from Barclays website that it all depends on who beats who as to who will get in to the semi finals - however, it looks like Roger will be in.

Do we all have to badmouth everyone? We know that it is just frustration on their part and leave it at that. To the best tennis player ever!!!!

there u go, NANCYLOR~!

we got lots of POLICING on this website, if u haven't noticed already.

we gotta be ALL PCs & nowhere ELSE 2 go.

like, can't we just VOICE our opinions w/o them being filtered as NOT NICE?

LIKE, WHY DO WE HAVE 2B NICE 2 OUR (ROGER'S) ENEMIES?

sheeeesh, can't we just live AND let others live already???

THESE POLICE PERSONNEL ARE A TOUGH CROWD, INDEED.

We got PC people, insisting treating competition as NICELY as possible, ignoring how it's so ANTI-ROGER t

1) A-Rod can't get himself OFF the gate & in must-win against Joker or go home.
2) T-Bird needs 2 beat RN in order 2 stay in.
3) Ferrer in same position as A-Rod, must-win vs wolfman or go home.

WHY CAN'T ANYONE TELL ANYONE ELSE WHAT THE BREAKDOWN SYSTEM IS ON BARCLAYS WEBSITE??? Is this an inside trade secret or something???

Hey Heartofthematter, here I go responding to a post like you so don't want us doing. Like who died and put you in charge of this website? We're all loyal Federites here so save your anger for the competition and be a little more tolerant. There's nothing wrong with a little friendly banter among fans.

HELLO EVERYONE! Federer's sure to get a semifinal slot! Unless the impossible occurs,Fed's in..Now, based on the data provided by the committee, only a Berdych win vs. Nadal in 2 sets & 2 set-V by Djoko vs. Rod would prevent Rafa to join the last 4. Any other results shall find him in SF. To me, that's a tough ask for both TB & ND to pull the rabbit.Let's just wait& see.
Honestly,I would like RF & RN slug it out in the SF so US FEDERIANS & critics alike will have a field day. ALLEZ Roger!

There are PAGES take up here, not only with the Murray match, but also about other things. Also, there seems to be a communal conversation going on, and though I think it's all right to respond once in a while to another poster, this is ridiculous. I don't know if you people are here to make trouble or not, but members on this site know not to do this kind of thing, even if you sound mostly positive, though some of you could be sarcastic.

I like the way this article put things: that is, it was truthful! Indeed, Roger you know how to dismantle Murray's game, and always did. Meanwhile they were all harping on the twwo-setter ones. But I saw a poster who remarked on the match between Nadal and Djoko. Well, what a farce. It's tempting to consider that Djoko had nothing much to gain, and both want to diminish your importance, and then, Nadal seems to want this title. It didn't impress, and all the contact lens to-do made for a circus!
