Roger to play Rafa in final

Roger will play his first final of the new year in Abu Dhabi against Rafael Nadal.

Roger defeated Robin Söderling 6-7 (3/7), 6-3, 6-3, sending down a total of 16 aces. Roger had lost to the Swede precisely a year ago in Abu Dhabi.

Rafael Nadal celebrated a 6-4, 6-4 victory against Tomas Berdych. The numbers one and two of the world will play the final on Saturday.

What a performance by Roger! Again, Roger showed us a true champion and also gave us a wonderful New Year's Eve gift.

Re tomorrow's final: don't be overdetermined, but you can let your opponent feel that he has to be overdetermined in his game. It is a good warmer=upper, and sets you pff well. I always admire your pacing, your patience when you have to calibrate your forehand or backhand or serve. I love it when you move explosively, when the chance is there! Great good luck, and accomplish what you want! A fairly easy win, with fairly steady play is good for the new year. Great good luck, and Godspeed for you!
