Roger defeated in high-class|Final

Roger was defeated 6-7(4), 6-7(3) by Rafael Nadal in the final of the World Tennis Championships exhibition tournament in Abu Dhabi today.

Roger took a 3-0 lead in the first tiebreaker, but then simply committed too many unforced errors and eventually dropped the set. The second set also proved to be a tough fight as neither of the two players was able to score a break. Eventually it was Nadal's serve that helped him clinch the match in the second tie-breaker.

Roger will now make his way to Doha for the Qatar Exxonmobil Open which starts on Monday.

Hello Roger,

Of course we would all feel better if you had won, but as a preparation for the Australian Open it was a success. You played some great tennis and I am looking forward to watching more of it in the tournaments to come.

do not wary.you were great .it is just unfocused shots in the tie breacks.
i noticed that Rafa SERVICES in too strong it seems that he maneges to improve this talent .Also you seem like a littel bit tired .
i wish for you the best and i ask God to help you in each point,please stay calm .
please wear your last championship cloth ,it is very elegant and very distractive for the rivals .and i feel it is a very good omen.

ROGER HAS SO MANY BRAIN FARTS WHEN HE PLAYS TIE BREAKERS AGAINST NADAL , TIE BREAKERS ARE THE "REAL" TEST OF MENTAL TOUGHNESS , AND IN THAT DEPARTMENT RAFA EXCELS OVER ROGER.

Unfortunately I didn't see the final televised here in Brisbane, however when I was in Melbourne on Friday I managed to see the game on Fox Sports against Robin. Wow I'm so pleased that you are getting some good high quality matches, and surely a good lead up to the tourney next week and then onto Australia. Very close and could/should have been a win. Hope this is the start of an excellent year - I'm sure it will be, judging by the recent weeks.
