Roger defeated in high-class|Final

Roger was defeated 6-7(4), 6-7(3) by Rafael Nadal in the final of the World Tennis Championships exhibition tournament in Abu Dhabi today.

Roger took a 3-0 lead in the first tiebreaker, but then simply committed too many unforced errors and eventually dropped the set. The second set also proved to be a tough fight as neither of the two players was able to score a break. Eventually it was Nadal's serve that helped him clinch the match in the second tie-breaker.

Roger will now make his way to Doha for the Qatar Exxonmobil Open which starts on Monday.

A great preparation for you, Roger. As for your rival, nothing's changed, except his leaping ability to pluck and smash balls seems better. You still have the tools, and strategy. (But that "much improved service" which happened over a mere number of months, is still odd, to say the least.) It's your game you need to concentrate on, so you pacing and strategy will work. Beautiful shots, by the way! I watch these exhose because of you, not because of some artifically created "dream final."

Forget about it Roger. It's only a warm-up exhibition tournament. You still played awesome, and it was only a few points that decided the two sets. But I'm sure you'll be able to defend your Australian Open title!! Best of luck for Doha, Melbourne, and the rest of 2011!!

It is 2011 AO that you should defeat your title at and you know that.

Although exibitions doens't really matter, but can show were you stand. But considering this match, it was close, like you said, just some details. The fact you kept your service is a good thing, just works on those little details such as unforced errors. Good luck in this new season. DEFEND YOUR TITLE IN AO WITH SUCCES !!!
