Roger loses in three sets

Roger was defeated 6-7(3), 5-7 and 4-6 by Novak Djokovic in the semi-final of the Australian Open today. Roger struggled to stem Djokovic's aggressive assault, and also had problems with his serve.

Roger was unable to dominate the match and had troubles holding up right from the start. Djokovic won a tense 57-minute first set in a tie-break. Hopes of a comeback for Roger evaporated in the second set when, having fought back from a break down to lead 5-2, he was swept aside by a run of five consecutive games for the Serbian.

Roger was broken once again to 1-2 in the third set, before fighting his way back to 4-4 with a threaded forehand down the line. But unfortunately it was only a brief moment of hope as he went on to save three match-points in the final game and eventually had to admit the defeat.

The loss leaves Roger without one of the four Grand Slam titles for the first time since 2003.

1. ROGER IS THE BEST EVER
2. ROGER HAS 16 GS
3. DJOKO MAY NEVER REACH ANOTHER SLAM FINAL
4. FED SHOULD TEACH THOSE GUYS ABOUT GOOD MANNERS
5. FED IS SMARTER THAN ALL OF THEM
6. NADAL DJOKO, MURRAY ARE ALL GRINDERS

FED IS THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME
TO BE GREAT YOU NEED TO WIN SLAM AND FED HAS MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE.
HE CAN RETIRE TODAY AND FEEL GOOD ABOUT HIS CARRER

Roger I am really sorry for your loss and i prayed a lot for you to win(im not really a religious guy, i look up to you as my god) and you still lost but anyway you have made the semis of every touney since toronto which is amazing and I sincerely hope you come back and I am almost in tears even after a day.

C'mon everyone! Roger has done great things for tennis and continues to entertain and enthrall fans all over the world. Get behind him, recognise his fantastic achievements so far and his incredible talent. Being a great champ also means knowing when you have got it wrong, accepting it, and be prepared to learn from it - Roger has demonstrated his excellence - let us demonstrate our loyalty.

pity that you lost, but the last months have been really good. Even in the semi some shots were really amazing.
Hope you get a nice break and proper training.

I appreciate all you try each tournament to do. I feel bad for you when you are not raising the championship trophy, but all long as you do your best you pass the test in my book. Hopeful you will raise s trophies by year end. Enjoy the sport as long as you can.
