Roger loses in three sets

27.01.2011 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger was defeated 6-7(3), 5-7 and 4-6 by Novak Djokovic in the semi-final of the Australian Open today. Roger struggled to stem Djokovic's aggressive assault, and also had problems with his serve.

Roger was unable to dominate the match and had troubles holding up right from the start. Djokovic won a tense 57-minute first set in a tie-break. Hopes of a comeback for Roger evaporated in the second set when, having fought back from a break down to lead 5-2, he was swept aside by a run of five consecutive games for the Serbian.

Roger was broken once again to 1-2 in the third set, before fighting his way back to 4-4 with a threaded forehand down the line. But unfortunately it was only a brief moment of hope as he went on to save three match-points in the final game and eventually had to admit the defeat.

The loss leaves Roger without one of the four Grand Slam titles for the first time since 2003.

I really hope you can defeat Rafa in French Open on clay and prove to all you are the best even on clay and Rafa in nothing, like Madrid open in 2009 (6-4, 6-4).
Please work hard
All the best

It might be disappointing but there's always a next time. It's nice to stay as positive as you are. I will continuously pray for your success especially on all the remaining Grand Slam tournament. God bless you and your family and continue to play hard and improve in every game.

Most of you fans are yes man by writing this kind of comment.
You just have to change your strategy for playing in the other GS,
1) You need a very good psychologist to improve your mental
2) You have to practice and train too much whenever you play with Rafa, Novak and Andy.
3) You have to make strong your firing Service the same as 2006 and 2007.
4) And tell me where the hell is your furious Forehand?
5) Finally please work very hard about your Backhand.
I really hope

Hi roger, I hope you are doing well. You must be used to negative comments from the media because they thought you will be in the final and Andy Murray would have no chance to win the Grand slam but eventhough he lost to novack. I hope you will dominate the spot for the remainder of this year. I wish you well. Please do something about confidence. You are the champion and you should know that. No one else is as big as you are right now, I hope this should be enough to boost your confidence.
