Roger reaches semis

Roger won his quarter-final match against Ukraine's Sergiy Stakhovsky (ATP 43) 6-3, 6-4 in Dubai today.

Roger was broken for the first time this week in the opening game of the match, but broke back immediately. He eventually wrapped up the match in 1 hour and 12 minutes, firing 6 aces and converting 3 out of 9 break points to earn a comprehensive win. 

Roger will face the winner of the all-French quarter-final between Richard Gasquet (ATP 28) and Gilles Simon (ATP 33).

congratulations Roger... all seems to be going well in Dubai! Unfortunately, due to work etc. I haven't yet seen your last 2 matches, but I will catch up this evening.. with a Mega Roger Session!!!
Good luck against Richou today... I am sure it will be a fab match.. Richou is my fave player after you... you both play such attacking attractive tennis, I am sure we are in for a treat... Bonne chance xx

I feel so horrible for not being able to watch your matches!I've only been able to watch ONE rally for this whole tournament.... :( But I'm trying to keep up with the news as much as I can.And yesterday again,was another great win (I was following through live scores lol)

Gasquest will be a very interesting opponent,but I trust you to come through :) So best of luck Champion! :D

well done! Just pleasure watching those forehands.little worried seeing u holding ur lower back during last 2 matches.hope u are fit and can give ur 100%.Because ithink ur second serve were lacking bite yesterday which will be critical against djoker.
