Roger reaches Dubai final

25.02.2011 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger has reached the final of the tournament in Dubai thanks to a 6-2, 7-5 victory over Richard Gasquet today.

Roger had no problems in the first set, playing aggressively and not facing too much resistance from the Frenchman. But he fell back 3-5 in the second as Gasquet made more of a fight of the encounter. And then Roger once again did what we love him for - raise the pressure and take the lead - as he secured the last four games and thus the match.

Roger will now face Novak Djokovic in Saturday's final, in a replay of their Australian Open semi-final in January. The defeat is Roger's only one so far this season, Djokovic is yet to loose a match.

Hi Rog, Disappointing for you, you seemed to have lost your concentration in the final, and Djokovic wasn't giving up his standing titel there so easily!.But as you say yourself you are only human, and as your fans have told you before you don't have to prove anything to anyone, you have achieved so much already. Enjoy you short break before Indian Wells. Take care.

TFAN1

THE "King of Tennis" AS YOU SO ELOQUENTLY DESCRIBE , DOESN'T GET BEATEN IN BACK TO BACK SLAMS AT THE US OPEN AND AUSTRALIA , BY THE SAME PLAYER

THE KING OF TENNIS DOESN'T SQUANDER AN EARLY BREAK IN THE 2ND SET

THE KING OF TENNIS DOESN'T COMMIT THAT ATROCIOUS NUMBER OF UNFORCED ERRORS

WHO WOULD DARE TO GIVE FEDERER ADVISE ?? NOT A FAN WILL DO
BUT THE FACT IS THERE ARE YOUNGER PLAYERS NOW AND FEDERER'S
BRILIANT TENNIS IS NOT ENOUGH ANYMORE THAT IS WHAT WE CALL
END OF AN ERA.

I am left amazed at how many ridiculous "fans" of Roger there are on this website. Yes, you can be happy or disappointed by a win or loss, but to give advice to the man who is arguably the "King of Tennis" is absolutley insane. Please leave your advice to yourselves. Roger is smart enough to understand his strengths and weaknesses and the year has just begun. He will, as he always does, rebound. Even if he never wins another grand slam, his legacy is forever with us. Celebrate the man, period!!!

Bah. Roger is lose minded vs Djocker as He was to Nadal 2 in recent time.

I think You are right Boting. maybe He is just playing for fun. Becouse he is not being as aggressive or inteligent in order to beat those who can handle his game.

I am not looking a Wiser Roger

any way, good for the 300 points and to have a chance to watch Roger play

Best for all

Pollerer
