Roger reaches Dubai final

Roger has reached the final of the tournament in Dubai thanks to a 6-2, 7-5 victory over Richard Gasquet today.

Roger had no problems in the first set, playing aggressively and not facing too much resistance from the Frenchman. But he fell back 3-5 in the second as Gasquet made more of a fight of the encounter. And then Roger once again did what we love him for - raise the pressure and take the lead - as he secured the last four games and thus the match.

Roger will now face Novak Djokovic in Saturday's final, in a replay of their Australian Open semi-final in January. The defeat is Roger's only one so far this season, Djokovic is yet to loose a match.

Federer is playing tennis these days just for his pleasure and every tournement
he can win will be a bonus . Federer is not able and will not be able to win
from the younger guys that easy anymore. Private live first,tennis second.

Sorry champ but after so many matches against Djokovic you should know him a little better: He is a insidious fighter and always pretend to have little problems (maybe health ones etc.) or do little mascarade in order to catch you off guard…

VAL2008, your's words made me to write here, it is the first time for me. Regarding the game of Roger, it is hurting me but he has the worst problem, it is a mental issue.

And talking of lapse of concentration and lack of confidence. He is 3-1 ahead in the 2nd set. What happens next? He loses 5 games in a row with a masterclass of unforced errors. Lazy and indifferent. Djoker did not play well at all in the 2nd set.
