Roger suffers defeat number two
26.02.2011 | Tennis, Starseite 2
Roger was defeated in straight sets by Novak Djokovic in the final of the Dubai Tennis Championships today.
"I had a tough start and a tough end but Novak played a solid tournament all the way through and deserved to win,” Roger said. “It was a tough end for me but still a great tournament."
Roger faced a strong Djokovic right from the start and was clearly dominated in the first set. It looked better in set number two as he broke the Serb to take a 3-1 lead. But unfortunately he had to constantly battle with problems with his timing and rhythm, losing 20 of the following 25 points and eventually the match.

I'll enjoy your games as long you are still active playing in tours.
Stay healthy.

Don't give up and keep going ....Roger .....you can come back with the win ......
Love You ,
Importantly you have remained a wonderfully human & humble person--the greatest ambassador ever for our sport of tennis.
If some of the experts/critics would like to come & work with me in some of the devastated areas of floods, earthquakes etc they would hopefully realise that not winning a tennis match is NOT the end of the world.
I look forward to watching more of your wonderful tennis, soon
Kindest regards
Margaret. A chronic fan & trained nurse
Your consistency of your brilliant play at the very top of tennis for so many years is more than outstanding. Who else has done it? NO-ONE . Who else can/will do it? NO-ONE. You have proved so much to yourself and the world and yet there are some who expect much more from you .
Roger you are healthy, happy and still want to play tennis at the highest level. Over the years you have not only successfully adapted to the many changes in the game of tennis BUT raised the bar
Don,t worry. You will win early to djokovic and everybody. good luck champion
Nil drama. Last evening was one of those days/nights that we, as sportspersons, hope that do not come along. Unfortunately last evening was one of those matches where it did not go your way. Lucky for Novak as I do not think that his tennis is anywhere near your standard.
Roger, I am so very proud of you and your numerous accomplishments thus far in your brilliant career. When one thinks of all that you have done for yourself, family, team the game of tennis is mind boggling
