Roger suffers defeat number two

Roger was defeated in straight sets by Novak Djokovic in the final of the Dubai Tennis Championships today.

"I had a tough start and a tough end but Novak played a solid tournament all the way through and deserved to win,” Roger said. “It was a tough end for me but still a great tournament."

Roger faced a strong Djokovic right from the start and was clearly dominated in the first set. It looked better in set number two as he broke the Serb to take a 3-1 lead. But unfortunately he had to constantly battle with problems with his timing and rhythm, losing 20 of the following 25 points and eventually the match.

Hey Roger congratulations on making the final in Dubai! So you didn't win but it was still the final and that's an achievment...well done champ. Love watching you play as always. Good luck in the US.

-Roger gained 300 ATP points in Dubai, but this week he has the same points as last week in ATP ranking
-Djokovik played Rotterdan last year (before Dubai), reaching semifinals. This year he didn´t play that tournamament, and he didn´t lose ATP points

I am sorry for your loss Roger but as you have said you are not "robo cop" but I am sure you will do better in your upcoming matches. Soon you will be in the USA and I hope you enjoy your match with Rafa.I have the utmost faith in you always. GO ROGER!!!

I think you need a new plan to play against NJ. I believe you can beat him if you attack his weakness. You have the talent and you are smart! You can figure out a way to fight back. I am looking forward to watching you beat NJ in the near future!

i am very angry with you roger because you lost against novak and was moping all day.i feel for you because for sure you must be angry with yourself . Never the less i will always be your staunch supporter because you bring grace to the court and dont do circuss performances after every great shot (which are many) I love and admire you. To prove that I have named my Kurzhairr dog after your wife Mirka.
