Roger suffers defeat number two
26.02.2011 | Tennis, Starseite 2
Roger was defeated in straight sets by Novak Djokovic in the final of the Dubai Tennis Championships today.
"I had a tough start and a tough end but Novak played a solid tournament all the way through and deserved to win,” Roger said. “It was a tough end for me but still a great tournament."
Roger faced a strong Djokovic right from the start and was clearly dominated in the first set. It looked better in set number two as he broke the Serb to take a 3-1 lead. But unfortunately he had to constantly battle with problems with his timing and rhythm, losing 20 of the following 25 points and eventually the match.

Thank you --comments appreciated.
Enjoy IW--lucky you!

To watch and follow his career so closely has been one of the joys of my life-he has NEVER disappointed me or my family.I will always support & follow him --his post tennis life will, in my opinion be exciting as well.
To those who go on and on re UES, may I suggest that you read some of Roger's interviews where on more than one occasion his explains them.
His post final interview interesting reading www.goroger.net
**rogerno1*88 agree but firstly they need a racquet!

You are the best tennis player in the world. You are also very smart, so that I'm sure you realize that to continue winning you need to change some things. All players sometimes work on changes to improve. So look at the videos of your game with Djorki very carefully, and realize that maybe that back hand needs to be strenghtened. Good Luck - Do not give up!
Agree with yiou wholeheartedly.
I aslo have watched Roger since I first saw him play as a YOUNG teenager in Switzerland --we travelled there to watch Lleyton Hewitt--our friend knew the late Peter Carter from South Australia and informed us that we should also watch this amazing tennis talent Roger Federer!
As we were post graduate students in the UK at the time not much money BUT we worked extra night shifts to enable us to & see this young man ,RF play tennis!!
