Indian Wells draw

The draw for the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells is out. Roger has a First-round bye and will then either face Russia's Igor Andrejew (ATP 96) or Japan's Kei Nishikori (63). Roger won all three previous matches against Andrejew, dropping one set each time. Roger has never played Nishikori on the ATP Tour before.

In the quarter finals a match against Roger's friend Stanislas Wawrinka (ATP 14) is possible. In the semi final, Roger could meet Novak Djokovic (ATP 3) again - the Serb defeated our champ in the Dubai final.

The top seeded Rafael Nadal, UK's Andy Murray and Sweden's Robin Söderling are in the other half of the draw.

Just take it one match at a time Rog. Don't look ahead (and certainly don't look at Nadal's draw or it will make you ill). You are the best. You will prevail!!

Exciting draw. Perhaps a good think Djokovich's seems pretty easy? He won't get quite the same practice?

Hoping for another Roger-Rafa final, but if not that, how nice if a Roger- Simon final after that thrilling Australian match that surely was (as BBC commentators said at the time) good enough to be the final and should have been. I hope Roger's semi at Indian Wells will not be against Djokovich - three times running, just too boring. Let's have someone else in the semi v Roger!

Hello Roger,

Congratulations on winning the double with Stan. Such a pity that we hardly get to see any doubles matches, because they aren't broadcastet. A good mens doubles match is so much fun to watch.
