Semis against Djokovic and |doubles final!

19.03.2011 | Starseite 1, Tennis

Roger has made it through to the semis in Indian Wells thanks to a clear 6-3, 6-4 victory against his compatriot and doubles-partner Stanislas Wawrinka

Roger was in control right from the start as he earned 89% points on his first serve with the help of 14 winners and committed just 12 unforced errors, compared to Wawrinka's 28. The first set lastet 29 minutes and Roger was able to seal his victory after 63 minutes.

Roger will now play Novak Djokovic in Saturday's semi-final.

Roger had a mere two hours for interviews and some rest before making his way onto court a second time with Stan as the two played the defending champions in the doubles tournament. Our two Olympic champs defeated Nadal/Lopez 7-5, 6-3 and will now play Alexandr Dolgopolov and Xavier Malisse in the final!

FEDERER'S FAILURE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE COACHING
IT HAS ONLY TO DO WITH THE WAY OF LIVING THESE DAYS WITH A WIFE
AND TWO CHILDREN FEDERER'S TENNIS LIFE HAS CHANGED DRASTICALLY
TENNIS IS NOW FOR FEDERER JUST A HOBBY NO MORE NO LESS
IF HE WINNS OK IF HE LOSES IT IS ALRIGHT.
HE WILL DROP OUT OF THE TOP QUICKER THAN EXPECTED.

Funny that last year in Indian Wells it was Roddick vs. Ljubicic in the final, and Ljubicic won.

You do have a point there. Maybe Roger will fire him.

IF THE COACH COULD NOT MANAGE THE MISTAKES HE HAS NO ROLE
IF WE LOOK WHAT HAPPENED WITH NADAL SERVE we will know the value of his coach that he told us we are working to improve serve 2 years ago

I think his coach has had a good influence on Roger's game. He is playing much better again, except against Novak. Not sure about Nadal or Murray because it always seems to come down to a match against Novak and then it's over. Murray was out in the first round here. And Soderling soon afterwards. I look forward to see if Roger and Stan can win the doubles. That would be some consolation. He is probably feeling bummed right now in the locker room.

Roger you have to think about a plan to close the game it is just a shame you lost with such a normal player
What happen to you forehand \ fitness
you sacrificed the single with silly double
Do you think you are 20 NO way
You did not reach final in GS since AO 2010 AND I THINK THOSE THINK THAT YOU WILL BE NUMBER ONE AGAIN ARE JUST DREAMER

I can not understand the benefit of the coach while your service game is very weak you have to come back to your previous serve ad forget about silly slice and go after
Also it is impossible to defend from the back line against DJ or other players
Look to your game in the master oh no you have no confidence to win so, what is the benefit of the coach
You just killing us with these silly 35 UNFORCED ERRORS
It is really shame full to be broken 5 times how could you will wi grand slam forget
