Another loss against Djokovic

Roger suffered another defeat against Novak Djokovic in Indian Wells today, losing the semi-final 3-6, 6-3 and 2-6. Roger will now drop to number 3 in the world ranking as Djokovic takes his place.

The Serbian simply played too well in the opening set today as Roger trailed behind 3-6. But Roger then showed all his experience to reel in the younger opponent to level the match by taking the second 6-3. As the match went on both players displayed sublime skills but it was Djokovic who held his nerve in the end, winning the big points to secure to progress to the final after 126 minutes.

It is the ninth defeat for Roger against the Serbian in their 22nd match - our champ has lost all their three encounters so far this year.

 

Later on, Roger and Stanislas Wawrinka were also not able to celebrate a victory as they lost the final against Alexandr Dolgopolov and Xavier Malisse 4-6, 7-6(5) and 7-10.

This is not a disaster. Disaster is what is in Japan. and much of us do not pay enough attention or help.

Roger had lost 3 times this year against a greta player in a good form too. But I think it is time Roger prove himself he can Handle this situation, Work hard and get Number # 1. I am not crazy He is the greatest player on this sport isn it?

So Go Roger, Stand Up and face,

Stand Up one more time and get your place

Roger, muy triste por tu derrota ante Djokovic, tus fans no entendemos la razon o razones de que es lo que te esta sucediendo en los partido, sabemos que los puedes ganar sin ningun problema, pero tus errones te han costado el triunfo. POR FAVOR LOS ENTRENADORES, trabajen mas a Roger en mejorar y perfeccionar su drive, su saque, los puntos en la red. Nole is difficult at the moment, anyway we missed in the 2-2 with a double fault (that was sad!). At the moment I prefer to play against Rafa. But for now we will have to face Nole, no other ... It is difficult ...

Roger, I cannot believe it, I cannot believe that you were taking part in both tilts singles and doubles, especially when you were playing the second place, I think that you should not have taken part in doubles and that you had to put all your effort in singles.
Because your arm was very tired and because of it you could not do aces, come on Roger, you must recover.

Thank you for posting that Bleacher Report article. I hadn't seen it yet. This is just what I thought: Novak's knee bandaging and running around like Nadal.
And Roger has said in interviews in the past, that matches are still won and lost in HIS racquet more than in his opponent's. I strongly feel that this was the case on Saturday. I feel that it was more Roger who lost than Novak that won.
Roger is the most constant player on top level since August 2010.
