Another loss against Djokovic
Roger suffered another defeat against Novak Djokovic in Indian Wells today, losing the semi-final 3-6, 6-3 and 2-6. Roger will now drop to number 3 in the world ranking as Djokovic takes his place.
The Serbian simply played too well in the opening set today as Roger trailed behind 3-6. But Roger then showed all his experience to reel in the younger opponent to level the match by taking the second 6-3. As the match went on both players displayed sublime skills but it was Djokovic who held his nerve in the end, winning the big points to secure to progress to the final after 126 minutes.
It is the ninth defeat for Roger against the Serbian in their 22nd match - our champ has lost all their three encounters so far this year.
Later on, Roger and Stanislas Wawrinka were also not able to celebrate a victory as they lost the final against Alexandr Dolgopolov and Xavier Malisse 4-6, 7-6(5) and 7-10.
It will be interesting to watch. Maybe you and Stan can get your revanche some time. I hope so, because it is great to watch you play doubles and I would like to see you play together more often.
By now you will probably be in Miami, preparing for you first match. I hope you, Mirka and the little girls have a good time and that you will do well there.

I think you played a good match and a good tournament, but Novak was able to use his chances better and deserved to win.
Too bad the doubles didn’t go your way either. I wonder of your opponents can keep their ‘nothing to lose, just having some fun’ mentality up in the future, now they have made a name for themselves... At some point in the future they will have something to defend and the other teams will know what to expect.
My post is a little bit late, but watching you lose usually tends to get me down a little bit and makes it difficult for me to react immediately. Well, Novak proved in the final that he is on a roll right now and if anyone knows how that is it is you. In fact, because you have been there so often, we tend to expect or at least strongly hope you to go on winning forever.
