Key Biscayne: the draw

Roger left California and traveled to the East Coast of the USA in order to play the Sony Ericsson Open on Key Biscayne in Florida.

Like the other top seeds, Roger is exempt from the first round. He will either face Fabio Fognini (ATP 53) or Radek Stepanek (ATP 68) in round two. He could later take on Argentinia's Juan Monaco (ATP 35), before a meeting with either Marcos Baghdatis (ATP 24) or Mikhail Youzhny (ATP 14) is possible. Then, Andy Roddick, the defending champion, could be up in the quarter finals.

Roger, winner in 2005 and 2006, is in the same half of the draw as top-seeded Rafael Nadal. The two champions could meet in the semifinals.

It's strange how people find it easier to criticize than to praise. People should be thankful that you play and fight with the new generation. Great response to the MN comment. Bravo.
The best scenario for me would be that you beat Novak in the final.
I wish you all the best, as always, against Stepanek and others in Miami.

As I said last week ,take the advise of a psychiatrist to over come your unforced errors before you meet Djokovic or Nadal

all the hoopla is about djkc who has been lying dormant for 3 or 4 yrs at #3 and finally won 3 events in 3 months. roger has done this so many times it is silly. 92 and 5 in 2006. 10 titles, 11 titles, and 12 titles in 2004-2006. if djkc can do something like that i'll sing his praises. rog is #3. his generation: safin-ret, roddick-8, nalby19, davy-42, hewitt-64, stepanek-68 etc. so #3 is outstanding. nadal, djkc, murray, delpo etc are the next generation and rog is still the best ever to me.

we can see Roger try his level best to capture 2nd title for this year...he still came until semifinal and lost to top seed players.not like last time lost in 2nd or 3rd round to middle players.he is still has capability to win the title anytime.we just wait N see..
Trust him and that's what he did couple of previous years:)
