And now against Rafa!

Roger had to play just three today to book his spot in the semis of the Miami Masters as Gilles Simon had to retire at 3-0.

After 10 minutes and three games of play - Roger won 12 of 15 points - Simon called the physiotherapist as he claimed to have woken up with a stiff neck. He then realised there was no use in resuming play and shook Roger's hand.

 

Roger's last few days in Miami have not really been tough and he should be able to attack the round of the last four with plenty of energy. His opponent there is Rafael Nadal, it is the 23rd encounter between the two stars!

This is normal. It's called "Aging". No reason to talk about humiliation, etc.

Roger is a legend. I think he will slowly accept the sad law of nature and eventually retire after London Olympics 2012 next year before he drops out of top 3 or 4.

The next few years will likely (unfortunately) be dominated by big hitters; the likes of Nadal, Djoker, and Del Potro.

Hey Champ, in the interview you hinted to play at least next five years. That's great! Today's loss is just a loss on a very slow surface. But I strongly believe you'll get a chance to be No 1 in the future and win few slams. No matter what happens in the future, you're the GOAT!

Hey Champ. First of all let me tell you that is always a pleasure watching you play. Against Rafa is even better. You lacked speed and accuracy today, but this is just another day at the office for you. Some are good, and some are not so. Just keep up and don't let the annoying questions about you diminishing bother you. ALWAYS your greatest fan from Venezuela. Hug and kisses to Mirka in her birthday and to the twins. Hello Roger lament the rout of today, but Nadal was very upper, you erred a lot, have diminished your velocity, today I lack you to do but draw shots, I am a your supporter and if want to be again number 1 is going to be very difficult goes you to cost a lot of! !!Pero without doubt are the best of the history of the tennis by the elegance with which you play! to Rafa has recognized it, greetings since Piura Peru. it is funny to observe how some small people sitting around the world start complaining and daring to offer advice to a great, accomplished person as Roger. the history will always remember Roger for all the achievements and joy he brought into lives of the people despite how many times he loses again. i agree some fans are weak and miserable as****s, who feel good about themselves only in times of Roger's victory. Roger, your true friends will always love you in good and bad times! LOVE
