And now against Rafa!

Roger had to play just three today to book his spot in the semis of the Miami Masters as Gilles Simon had to retire at 3-0.

After 10 minutes and three games of play - Roger won 12 of 15 points - Simon called the physiotherapist as he claimed to have woken up with a stiff neck. He then realised there was no use in resuming play and shook Roger's hand.

 

Roger's last few days in Miami have not really been tough and he should be able to attack the round of the last four with plenty of energy. His opponent there is Rafael Nadal, it is the 23rd encounter between the two stars!

Anybody remembers this match? Roger - do you remember this match?? <br /> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AR7do5BFgzA. What happened to your shots man? Your footwork is still there... but your shots are slower, your serve lacks the flare... Is it the balls? Really - the Roger in this video is the only Roger I know and love. Please come back...

Hard Luck Roger. Better next time. I am disappointed for you this time, but i will always support you.!!!!
Only hope that Rafa can over power the Djoker, to wipe the "Smug and Cocky" attitude of his. Both Nadal and Djoker are playing the tennis of their lives at the moment. But it's one thing to be winning and "On the Ball" but another to be winning and "Smug".
Anyway Better Luck next time Rog.

IT'S SUCH A SHAME HE COULDN'T FIGHT EVEN LIKE A QUALIFIER. IT SEEMS HE DON'T CARE ABOUT ANYTHING. HE IS STILL PHISICALLY FIT, SO WHY SURRENDER SO EASILY? THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HIM AND NADAL IS THAT NADAL LOSES A POINT WITH THE DEEPEST SOARENESS WHILE FEDERER LOSES 20 POINTS WITH NO REGRET. THIS DON'T MEAN YOU'RE A DECENT GUY, THIS MEANS THAT YOU SHOULD NOT BE RESPECTABLE ANYMORE, BECAUSE YOU DON'T RESPECT YOUR LOYAL CROWD FEELINGS !

It's olay to loss that's How You Learn To Win. Maybe it's time to change your plan pr tatics and train so hard in order that you can get back to No. 1 and it's time to retire. <u guess you will retire by age 33. Paul and you are a good team. Two heads are better than one. Maybe without Paul, You won't be No.3. I mjght be wrong, but I still believe you can make it through as a come back Winners. By the way, Happy birthday to Mirka. Djokovic and Nadal are overpowering you from the back of the court. They're stronger than you muscle wise. The modern game has evolved into a slugfest from the baseline. You really need to work harder in the gym, get more muscle mass, both upper body and lower. See what Nadal, Djoko and Murray looked like 4-5 years ago. They've all bulked up to get the strength for the baseline duels. It's high time you do the same, it can't hurt can it. It'll give you more power in your shots.

As one of the respectable fans here or maybe ex-fans said it's not about win or loose it's about the fight. Federer goes there and acts like he doesn't care about tennis , his records or anything else. That's heart breaking. He doesn't shows any sights of fight and will to win. 4-5 years later when he will be truly old to play well he will be sorry for this missed opportunities .

Ur miami open match is the worst rivalry match so far with rafa... roger u got slaughter.... (SRY FOR THE OFFENSE ) u look a monkey swing around a racquet... even though RAFA is 5 yrs younger u lack your "FIGHT"... age is just a number ... u lost ur determination and agressiveness. I want to see the FED MAN back in action... the person that made top 10 players look like amateurs with a tennis racquet... i want to see ur comeback Roger!!!!!!!! Become the top dog again n take your spot back.
