Roger relentless at US Open
04.09.2006 | Tennis
Roger reached the last 16 of the US Open on Sunday with a comprehensive 6-3, 6-3, 6-0 win over Vince Spadea of the United States.
Roger hammered 40 winners in his 88 minutes on court and has yet to drop a set at this year's tournament.
"I'm very happy. Not losing a set the first three rounds, that's always awesome," Roger said. "From now on, you try to keep it up. Of course the rounds are getting tougher. "
Next up for Roger will be Marc Gicquel who continued his surprise run with a thrilling five-set win over 21st seed Gaston Gaudio. The little-known Frenchman won 6-0 4-6 4-6 6-1 7-6 (7/3).

Love Sumar
best of luck
You are the man roger. You truly are a worthy champion of the world. You are a great ambassador of the game and the grace with which you do everything on and off the court makes you such a loved champ. Keep it up and dig deep against the show
Roger wins it anyway
Congratulations on your win. Well done! A lot of good luck in the next round!
Stay healthy and enjoy!
Love you heaps,
Lindsy
I'm wondering though, can Roger DECIDE on the scoreline and play?
Its the first time he met Spadea on court after that Bagel in '99 and he manages to serve a bagel! Coincidence?
Best of luck with Gicquel
Keep limber! Keep light stepping! Keep your pace, focus, power, longevity!!!!
You look fantastic! Good luck tomorrow night on Arthur Ashe!!!
We are all behind our guy!
