Roger relentless at US Open

Roger reached the last 16 of the US Open on Sunday with a comprehensive 6-3, 6-3, 6-0 win over Vince Spadea of the United States.

 

Roger hammered 40 winners in his 88 minutes on court and has yet to drop a set at this year's tournament.

 

"I'm very happy. Not losing a set the first three rounds, that's always awesome," Roger said. "From now on, you try to keep it up. Of course the rounds are getting tougher. "

 

Next up for Roger will be Marc Gicquel who continued his surprise run with a thrilling five-set win over 21st seed Gaston Gaudio. The little-known Frenchman won 6-0 4-6 4-6 6-1 7-6 (7/3).

hey Roger,
Great match yesterday, we all liked how you toasted "the red hat wearing glitter shining S man". It was awesome to see you play especially in the 5th set, you were invincible. It was disappointing though that the broadcasters in this country

Well.. i saw the game.. well.. not all of it cuz ESPN was more interested in James Blake's game. Anyway.. the part i saw.. u played quite fantastic... great but.. i am a little dissapointed.. U r The number ONE.. but for the us open organization that does

I'm not surprised at all. You're playing amazingly. If you keep on like that no one will beat you. I know that the US Open's cup will be with your other trophies soon. You deserve it because you're the best in and out the court.
