Rome: the draw

09.05.2011 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger will play the Internazionali BNL d'Italia in Rome this week.

After a first round bye, he will start his quest against the winner of the match between Marcos Baghdatis (ATP 27) and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (ATP 18).

In the next round, he could meet France's Richard Gasquet (ATP 16), before Thomas Berdych (ATP 7) might be up in a possible quarter-final.

Then, Roger could be in for another match against defending champion Rafael Nadal - the perfect moment for a revenge after the narrow defeat last week in Madrid.

Dear Roger,

Goodluck in Rome. We are rooting for you and here is hoping you have a nice tournamnet. Your grace and finesse on court has no equal and you play the most beautiful tennis. Please keep up the class act and don't get too distracted by the antics of umpires/linesmen etc. We love you and will keep rooting for you as long as you are on tour. I even have my four year old supporting you.

Sending you much love from Maryland, USA..........Michael, Michelle and Moi.

Good luck Roger! I thought you looked GREAT against Rafa in Madrid. I know it wasn't a win, but you definitely had something going on. Two breaks in the first set?! That was fantastic, and I know you can capitalize on what you were putting together and take it into Rome and Paris...Go Go Go!

Hi, dear!
All of us agree about Moya's words!
Although you aren't #1, at this moment, anyone can't deny that you have ever been playing the MOST BEAUTIFUL, MOST PLASTIC, MOST ELEGANT, in short, the MOST WONDERFUL AND AMAZING TENNIS OF ALL TIME.
Once I read a Mac Enroe opinion and he said: " Federer plays the most beautiful tennis I have seen". So...
Who loves you, will love you for ever!
Best wishes and enjoy your game. God bless you.
Suzana, from Brazil.
