French Open Final!

Roger showed a brilliant display in the semi-final of the French Open today, ending Novak Djokovic's winning run with a 7-6,(5), 6-3, 3-6, 7-6(5) victory and setting up a meeting with Rafael Nadal in the final.

"I've trained a lot during my whole life for these kinds of matches," Roger said. "There was an enormous amount of pressure on Novak and he really played well."

Roger had an answer to just about everything Djokovic showed on court today, even though cumulating 46 unforced errors on the way, five more than his opponent. After taking the first set in a tiebreaker, Roger managed an early break in the second and brought home the set smoothly. Djokovic came back in the third set as Roger also committed too many errors. Just like the opening set, the fourth was a tough fight with breaks on both sides, ending in a tiebreaker. That proved another immensely tight fight, but Roger eventually rode home the victory with his 18th ace.

Our champ will now face Rafael Nadal on Sunday in the final of the 2011 French Open in what promises to be another classic duel between the two players. It is the fourth time in six years that the two meet in the Paris final.

I was so sure you are going to win! Now, I ask myself:why? But you played well, he played better (some crucial points). You lost a great opportunity to win your 17th GS trophy. It's your fault. Anyway, thank you for the wonderful SF, for blowing off that NDj, but you should have won RN. He is not better player, just much happier today!
I hope you'll be healthy for the rest of the season. This result is good but...

And for all the doubters, how many year end championship titles has Nadal won. Um..None...So he cannot beat the top players in consecutive matches....Federer is genius and if I had his ability with the racquet at this point in his career, I will have an ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE feeling from this tournament. I was not even disappointed with the loss. I watched to see a fight and it was a dogfight. Onto Wimbledon we go!

That's why billions of tennis fans love Fed because of his fair play. He doesn't disrupt the match in the middle of a set. Shame on Nadal (faked Greatest player). He just simply cannot play his game without communicating to his box, period. I think this is his last year at his best. The following years will be tough for Nadal. He may not even get a GS whereas our Champ will be the same for next few years. That's ok. Our Champ is right on track for Wimbledon. Hope he's in Nadal's half then.

You have diasallusioned fans! I wish Djoker had won in the semis, he had a better chance of beating Nadal and ending his chances of beating your records. You should have cried after this defeat.

Com'on guys wake up. Nadal is in the way of breaking Roger's record. Nadal has already won more ATP1000 tournaments more than any other player in history. He is in each and every final of this years big tournaments (except AO). On top of that, he is already the best cheater of all time.

So close!!! What if the first set point ball was half an inch in. Well, anyway, not bad! After the lows of last year, we are just happy to see you back in such an excellent form. Beating N. Djokovic and getting into the final is more than good enough for us! Who needs to get the 17th here and now. We've got Wimbledon and US Open! Go, Roger! We always stand behind you! I'm stil a student on my last year. When I begin working and getting paid next year, I'll fly to watch you play in Grand Slams!!
