Roger defeated in final

Roger was defeated 5-7, 6-7, 7-5 and 1-6 by Rafael Nadal in the final of the French Open today.

 

"It was an exceptional performance by Rafa. He's beaten me again. I'm sad but I am happy to play him," Roger said. "He is the best player on clay but I am proud of the way I have played over the last two weeks but I couldn't do enough against him. It was important to get into another grand slam final."

Roger started strong, breaking Nadal in the second game and taking a 5-2 lead. But it was just when Roger was serving for the set that Nadal found his rhythm and won the following five games to take the first set. The Spaniard continued to play almost without errors into the second set, but Roger managed to hold onto his service games and then break to level 4-4 - only to be broken again in return. Play was suspended for a few minutes due to rain - with Roger coming back onto the court to break Nadal and bring the set into a tie-break - which Roger unfortunately clearly lost.
 
Roger seemed to change his game in the third set and was at his best at 5-5 to go on and book the set onto his account. He continued well into the fourth set and had several break-points, but it was Nadal who made use of the chances he was given and left no doubt that he wanted the match to come to an end.

Roger will now open the grass court season this week at the tournament in Halle (GER).

4-You shouldn't be too worried to play against him if you know what to expect, that's not to worry that's a positive thing, that means that if you know what to expect you can do something about it, is not like you would have to be guessing on court the whole time, he stocked to his plan the whole match, he always does. You just have to make little adjustments to take full advantage of your opportunities; no one or anything can stand in your way, if you don't let it.

5-Change your mind set, no matter how good of tough he is you can beat him any time, but you have to be completely convinced. No one is unbeatable, nothing is unbreakable, everything is possible and you can make it happen, you have the capacity. You can do it Roger! Just truly believe it!

6-I know is very difficult I know is way much harder that it seems to be out there, but it's doable, it's an everyday task to build a lot of self love a solid super high self-esteem, keep cultivating patience, enable yourself to believe insanely in yourself, there're no limits, you are free!

afin que je puisse tranquillement manger mon dinner dans ma petite maison et bien dormir.
Sir roger merci encore pour tous ces exploits et magnifiques coups que l'on savoure chaque foix que tu joues
reste encore sur le circuit please sans toi le tennis serait si moche .

j'ai grandi en afrique,ou j'entandait tout le nom ces noms la MC Enroe,Edberg,Lendel ,Wilander,Boum boum(Boris Becker).J.borg,et autres mais j'ai ete eloigne du tennis par le basquet.
quand je t'ai decouvert ca ete d'office ,ton jeu ,ton style,ta classe ,ton humulite,ton coeur d'or,etc mais tout quoi man et personne sur le tour actuel ni meme apres n'y arrivera.
j'ai beaucoup aime Pit sampras mais toi c'est autre chose.
tu peux perdre attant de match ,mais please sir Roger plus jamais

J'ai encore et toujours la douleur de tes defaites en moi,mais quand il s'agit de Rafa je ne peux pas oublier,je suis triste et abattu. je me couche sans manger ,mais ca tu ne le sais pas. tu seras deja dans ton jet prive en route pour un autre tournoie avec un gros cheque en poche et moi dans ma petite demeure je pleure sans cesse et toujours tes defaites qui ne cessent de grandir.
mais t'inquiete Roger,non Sir Roger le tennis est devenu grace a toi un autre art,merci

I enjoyed as always watching you playing,don´t be dissapointed you played incredible at the semifinal to reach the final,I thought before that the reason you cant beat Nadal is only in your mind but you made your game and it wasn´t easy to make a point he goes for all the balls,anyway we love you and support for ever

My only hero is you.

I don't really understand you tried to have choice backhand drive in service return even under 170km speed of nadal's serve.

YOU have a confiedence of you backhand slice more.

Nadal is not a human but kind of animal.
But his speed is rapidly down as getting age.

Please keep your balance untill 2 years at least. and then you will step up No.1 again.

i dont anderstand Roger, why and why you cant beat nadal, WHY? somebody please give me an explanation . you beat djokovic the one who always beat nadal , so why cant you beat nadal how come you miss the oportunite to have a seconde fench open trophe ant 17 slams, how? its too much painful. so what now at us open???????? come on man
