Roger cruises through
Roger won his match against David Nalbandian 6-4, 6-2, 6-4 today to make his way into week two in Wimbledon.
"The guy has beaten me eight times so he knows how to beat me a ninth time. But I had a good level today and I served extremely well and I am very pleased. I'm playing better than last year and I'm more confident on my serve and comfortable on the baseline," said Roger after the match.
Our six-time Wimbledon champion started the match excellently, making use of his second break point to take a lead in game number three. But Nalbandian, too, seized his chances in the opening set, breaking Roger in the sixth game - Roger's first break in Wimbledon this year. Nalbandian fought hard but Roger always just had that necessary edge to finally take home the match after 106 minutes.
Roger will meet either Nicolas Almagro (ATP 15) or Michail Juschni (ATP 17) in the fourth round.

BUT if Nadal had been in the S/f or finals of some of the hard court matches the H2H may well be different. " John MacEnroe's question was "How can someone beat someone if they are not there to do so? Well done John.

Also as an Australian, I am so proud of Bernard Tomic so young 6-4/5 foot tall and still growing!! FULL credit to his family
Brenard refused a WC to Wimbledon, played qualies where he had match point against him in the 1st rnd.Boris Becker said
What a way to end the week on a great win. Hoping that your wins continue all the way to the finals on Sunday topping the day off with the trophy.
Continue success with the rest of the tournament.
Much love

Joke I fully agree with your last post thank you for it. As we, [yourself & myself} are both tennis players ,it so irritating to read some of the ridiculous comments made re Roger and his tennis---quite stupid, his mental state, work and train harder, etc. The latest, H2H one of the absurd--As John Mc Enroe said at the week [he is after all one of the great tennis players] H2H can be misleading--he was referring to Roger & Nadal where most of their matches have been on clay
Congrats on another quick win! Good luck against Youzhny tomorrow and I'll be cheering for you as always! :)
