Roger in quarters

19.08.2011 | Tennis, Starseite 1

Roger celebrated a an easy win over James Blake in Cincinnati, defeating the American 6-4, 6-1.

Our champ was off to a blistering start in the opening set, breaking Blake in the first game of the match and only giving away a mere three points on his own serve during the rest of the set. Roger dropped his serve in the second game of the second set, but rocketed on as he converted four consecutive break points from there, finishing the second set 6-1.

Roger improved his career record against Blake to 10-1 after just 54 minutes on court. Next up is Czech Tomas Berdych.

BOTING...no. Federer can beat anyone and he could be beaten by anyone. In my previous comments I said that I don't like his pictures, because he seems too bored. http://www.facebook.com/update_security_info.php?wizard=1#!/photo.php?fbid=161885797221205&set=a.161885727221212.39958.116240618452390&type=1&theater

*** ADI1008***: I really hope this loss serves as a shock, or like you said, cold bath, for him. I really do. The distressing thing is the "way" he loses these days. No passion, no desire, no motivation. So flat. Again, as I have said many times, age cannot explain this. I'm very confused. I really don't know what's going on.

A QUESTION FOR THE FANS?

FOR HOW LONG YOU THINK FEDERER WILL KEEP HIS RANK AS 3?

Every time we hope and hope again because we do care for him
but it looks that it brings him no luck these days . Seems that his preparations
are not enough as Conners said with more work he can be the nr.1 again.

A reason for for his defeat is that Federer was too upset for Nadal's loss and he couldn't focus.

I only hope that he realize where is his game now and preparation. Is not his first defeat and will not be the last, I think:). So I hope that this match is a cold bath for him.
