Roger defeated in 5 sets

Roger had to end his quest for another US Open title with a 7-6(9), 6-4, 3-6, 2-6, 5-7 defeat against Novak Djokovic in the semi-final today.

 

Roger had a tough day as it is only the second time in a total of 184 matches that he has been beaten after leading by two sets. The loss means he will finish a season without a grand slam title for the first time since 2002.

Everything looked perfect in the beginning as Roger booked the first two sets and was playing really well. It was in the two following two sets that Djokovic raised his level of play while Roger did not quite keep up. Roger got everything back together in the final set, taking it to 40-15 on his serve at 5-3. But an incredibly hard forehand from the Serb and one of Roger's balls just barely touching the net and sailing into the out kept him from clinching the victory. Djokovic went sailing through and secured the win after over four hours of play.

no matter how good a player is, he cannot trouble fed. nadal is lucky to be lefty and a good player.

Why didn't you call the trainer!Why!They are there to help you. You insist on keeping a poker face at all cost, but unfortunately, this time it backfired. You let Djoker back in the match, which was the biggest mistake you could make. He is full of confidence right now. Call the freaking trainer when your in distress, Roger. Your not Superman. Everyone needs help once in a while.

nadal control fed BH with his FH. other players cannot do that because they have to control fed Bh with their BH.

do you all get it.

Fed cannot do the same to nadal because he has a one handed bh, which is not as efficace as he two handed BH. but he manage to beat many tough opponent with it.

Do not really know why some fed fans do not like djoko. To me djoko take some pressure of fed.
Nadal build his resume on fed one handed backhand. He himself even says that.

they even start talking about Nadal as the greatest ever, they say he will surpass fed's number of slams.

let me tell you that nadal has a better chance to beat fed on any surface than. For fed to beat Nadal, he has to get his technic to a high level while nadal just pound his BH.

As I got ready to watch the men's final yesterday, a female french commentator on the french channel RDS in montreal said that Roger was in pain in the semifinal against Djoker because he had blisters on his feet. This definitely explains his level dropping so low in the 3 and 4 sets. He completely lost his focus. He made so many errors, Roger gave the Djoker credit that he played to good. Wrong! Roger you played like total crap in those 2 sets. You have to take responsibility for your actions

Dear Roger,
Everybody feels that you should have won the US open title,Djokovic was lucky. Remember Roger, luck is not going to knock on your door,you have to position yourself to be lucky by playing aggressive game from start to finish. You have enough spare time now, build up mental strength to perform well in the coming tournaments,you have proved in the US open that you can beat everyone.

Rogers=class,precision,style,elegance f o r e v e r
Nadal=power,fight,tucky
Djocovic=arrogance but so hungry...that is kicking the ass out of the other two

Please Roger i know u've got family and you've got other things in your mind now but give us the satisfaction of a 6-0 6-0 6-0 to joco joker?????

Please please please and then i'll buy you a beer!
