Australia - Switzerland
The Davis Cup rubber between Australia and Switzerland starts tomorrow. Roger will play three matches, starting with a singles against Lleyton Hewitt, followed by a doubles pairing with Stanislas Wawrinka. Wimbledon quarterfinalist Bernard Tomic will face Wawrinka in the opening singles match, while Hewitt will join Chris Guccione in doubles. Roger will play Tomic for the first time in Sunday's reverse singles, while Hewitt meets Wawrinka.
The winner will advance to the Davis Cup World Group for 2012, while the loser will have to take part in zonal qualifiers next year. The Swiss Davis Cup team has never played a round on grass before. They lost to Australia every one of the four times they have met, but this time they are expected to win.
Roger had just two days preparation on the grass courts at Royal Sydney Golf Club. "I'm feeling good, really good actually," Roger said nonetheless.

It is beautiful & sunny here in Sydney today--perfect for some wonderful tennis.
Great excitement as we head out to the venue-- match that we are ALL looking forward to Roger & Lleyton, 2 former no1's,& Wimbledon champions as well as having played each other many times. Both enjoy playing on grass.
It comes as no surprise that once Roger announced that he would be playing this DC, remaining tickets were sold within minutes!!

I know you can beat Nadal on any surface since you can handle Novak with such a confidence. Just take good care of your body and rest well. I look forward to your wonderful performance in the rest of 2011 and in 2012.
Love you.
