The Davis Cup rubber between Australia and Switzerland starts tomorrow. Roger will play three matches, starting with a singles against Lleyton Hewitt, followed by a doubles pairing with Stanislas Wawrinka. Wimbledon quarterfinalist Bernard Tomic will face Wawrinka in the opening singles match, while Hewitt will join Chris Guccione in doubles. Roger will play Tomic for the first time in Sunday's reverse singles, while Hewitt meets Wawrinka.

The winner will advance to the Davis Cup World Group for 2012, while the loser will have to take part in zonal qualifiers next year. The Swiss Davis Cup team has never played a round on grass before. They lost to Australia every one of the four times they have met, but this time they are expected to win.

Roger had just two days preparation on the grass courts at Royal Sydney Golf Club. "I'm feeling good, really good actually," Roger said nonetheless.

Well said ADR1. I want to know what the Umpires are up to. They rarely seem to enforce the rules these days and are not very consistent. The game needs tightening up.

I have just seen Roger interviewed on Swiss TV. He commented how good he was feeling and I can say he really did look happy, rested, relaxed and of course with all that, handsome, but of course, that goes without saying! He has some interesting matches in the next few days and I think that is how he sees it and is going to enjoy himself. The focus is not only on him which will do him good. Lovely to see. Enjoy yourself Roger, have some fun! Good luck to the team. Hopp Suisse!
