Shanghai Rolex Masters

23.09.2011 | Tennis, Starseite 1

After consultation with my team, I’ve unfortunately decided to pull out of the Shanghai Rolex Masters in order to take some necessary time to rest and recuperate after a long summer. I have some nagging injuries that I need to address and I look forward to returning to the ATP World Tour as soon as possible. I have very fond memories of Shanghai so I will miss this amazing tournament and all my loyal Chinese fans, but I look forward to returning to China next fall.

Yours,
Roger

Roger Roger! I am so worried about you! No comments since your announcement that would not be playing in Shanghi! Giving up 600 points is hard to do. That makes me worried that you are more tired and injured than anyone knows. I hate that Murray took an easy 1000 points with so many top players missing! I pray you are well and will come back strong physically and mentally to defend your Title in Basil and finsih the year out strong. You are so much better than a #4 ranking! Love you so much! ♥

I should really be patriotic and pleased that Andy Murray has moved up to the No 3 ATP ranking, but instead I am so dreadfully sad for Roger, as in truth he is a far better player, pure magic to watch when he is on form and I sincerely hope he can find that form after this time of rest and show the world who is the classiest player out there in November. Take care Roger and all the very best of luck for London xx

Nadal was dropped to No.4 in 2009 for a couple of months i guess and then got back to No.1 in 2010 . it doesnt mean Roger's era is over but anyway thats how sport games are , no one can be number 1 for 20 yrs lol . but one thing for sure : no body will play like Roger , no body will move like him or hit some magical shot like he did . NOBODY

By saying Federer's era is over means :
He does not belong anymore to the first three players since 2003
the facts are there that he will not be able to domininate tennis as he did
before. Yes he will probably win something but not as in the past. This has happened before it is named evolution in tennis. Champions are coming and going
it the past to all tennis players.

at least you will rest, and that's good. i really think roger is the best. if you see this, roger, you are the best tennis player-EVER! everybody learned (and learns) from you, for now and for the next 50 years.(at least)

-inside and outside of the court.
