Shanghai Rolex Masters

23.09.2011 | Tennis, Starseite 1

After consultation with my team, I’ve unfortunately decided to pull out of the Shanghai Rolex Masters in order to take some necessary time to rest and recuperate after a long summer. I have some nagging injuries that I need to address and I look forward to returning to the ATP World Tour as soon as possible. I have very fond memories of Shanghai so I will miss this amazing tournament and all my loyal Chinese fans, but I look forward to returning to China next fall.

I don't quite understand why you are choosing not to play Shanghai, you looked very sharp in your davis cup tie, even though the surface was grass. I'm glad Wawrinka pulled it out for you guys.

Hopefully this will be a blessing in disguise, the court in shanghai seems to be playing slow. When shanghai was pure indoor during the masters the court played much faster... ;(

Roger, its just not the same without you perhaps your resting is what has to happen at this stage of any player's career and if it is I understand, but you are why I have loved the game so much and miss seeing you play. You played great at the French and Us Open I have tickets for the O2 and I can't wait to see you in London. Good luck for your next tournaments, "COME ON FEDS"
