Shanghai Rolex Masters

After consultation with my team, I’ve unfortunately decided to pull out of the Shanghai Rolex Masters in order to take some necessary time to rest and recuperate after a long summer. I have some nagging injuries that I need to address and I look forward to returning to the ATP World Tour as soon as possible. I have very fond memories of Shanghai so I will miss this amazing tournament and all my loyal Chinese fans, but I look forward to returning to China next fall.

Hello Mr. Federer,
I agree with most of whats been said. Please rest and enjoy your family. Spending time with Family is an excellent way to rejuvenate yourself. However I would be remiss if I didn't also get this off my chess.
With all do respect, I don't want to make suggestion on your game and how to improve it. No one knows your game as much as you, so ultimately what ever decision you make regarding your game is the right one. I just hope you are considering trying out a larger racket

Shanghai Open seem to so boring without Roger....Look how empty the stadium is? I am sure it will not be like this if you are playing. So Roger, never think of retiring yet. Hope to see you playing as many matches as possible in years to come... Tennis without Roger is like Roses without water...

Roger, its a great pity not to see you at the Shanghai tournament but understand you have to recuperate very well to meet your next ATP compromises. Looking forward to your winning the next Masters and London too. Best of lack and a wonderfull playing. Will be in touch.
