Switzerland - Spain in the first round

29.09.2006 | Tennis

Switzerland will take on Spain in the Davis Cup World Group first round next year.

The draw for the opening salvoes in next year's team competition set the scene for an early showdown between Roger and Rafael Nadal, should they decide to compete together with their country’s teams.

The tie will be held in Switzerland which means that our team can choose the surface and almost certainly will choose anything other than clay on which the Spaniards excel. The encounter will be held on February 09 to 11.

Well... I hope next year Rogi can keep his performance and playing the davis cup for his team, that, lets face it, needs him. Would be great Rogi beats Nadal if Rogi decides to participe. Anyway... i hope his schedule let him take this choice... Dont know
