Roger made a solid start into the Swiss Indoors in Basel today, defeating Potito Starace 7-6(3), 6-4.

It took Roger some time to find the rhythm in his ground strokes, but he won the tiebreak of the first set comfortably 7-3. In the second set our champ then broke the 54th-ranked Starace's serve in the opening game and eventually wrapped up the win after 78 minutes in front of a cheering home crowd.

Roger will now face either Thomas Bellucci (ATP 38) or Jarkko Nieminen (ATP 66) on Wednesday.

Roger, you could defeat Djokovic, Nadal, and Murray at the same time just by using your powerful one handed backhand. Respect to Federer! Wimbledon champion 2012!
