Semis against Wawrinka

Roger won his quarter final at the Swiss Indoors against Andy Roddick today, defeating the American 6-3, 6-2. Our champ will now play Stanislas Wawrinka in tomorrow's semis.

Roger showed a brilliant display against a rather weak Roddick. He did not allow even one single break-point for the overmatched American on day 5 in Basel. Roger made use of his first matchball to wrap up the match after 64 minutes.

Roger's semifinal opponent on Saturday will be his friend and Davis Cup team-mate Stanislas Wawrinka.

Roger, would love to see you beat the Djoker in the final (for the second time this year) but first you must deal with your friend Stan. Put the friendship aside for a short time and beat him in straight sets. Then you can buy him a beer:))) This trophy is yours Champ!!

Hello Roger,

Congratulations. Maybe Andy wasn't at his best, but that is all part of the game. You played well and it was a pleasure to watch you flying again.
Too bad Stan is in your half and that you have to beat him to get to the final, allthough it is good for the tournament to have a Swiss in the final.

A man on a mission last evening--we have just watched your simply brilliant and clinical display of tennis--congratulations and thank you.Some superb shot making [what is new from you!].
I do not agree with some who say that you are a step slower for whatever reason-In my humble opinion you just as quick if not quicker around the court. We are enjoying your net play very much.
Wishing you all of the very best for S/F's. A shame that it is not the finals.
